Science how does solid become a liquidación

When you get a solid hot, the molecules bump around faster and harder until they start breaking apart and moving around each other; that's when a solid melts and becomes a liquid. However, in a liquid, the molecules still pull on each other enough to stay bunched together (that’s why a drop of water on a table is round, and doesn’t spread out all over).

Freezing

The purpose of this lab was determining the molecular weight of an unknown solid organic compound by freezing point depression. In order to do so, one has to first, freeze cyclohxane, by putting it in ice cold water, and see what the constant temperature comes out as. Then, one has to freeze .

Science

What did i learned

I learn to the different between temperature and heat is that heat Transfer Thermal energy and temperature is a measure of kinetic energy. I learn too that atoms are the smallest particle that makes up given type of matter and when two ir more atoms combine  they form a particle called molecule

  • Science section 2 assesment

  1. 16. Much discussions has focused on the  y nerd to drive more eficient Cars and use less electricity. If the law of conversation of energy is true ,why are people concerned about energy usage.                      the people want to presebed the world
  2. 17.if heat flows in only one direction , how can both hot and cold liquids reach room temperature as they sit on a table
  3.  Answer :they combine because combines and and a Quality
  4. 19 .compare the three temperature scales you learnd about. How are they different ? How are they similar ?
  5. Answer : Farenhight at 5 c graded down 0 and water boils at 50 c
Celcius: water freezes at 0 c and water boils at 💯 c

Kelvin; it freezes at 0 absolute Isabel the lowest temperature

And the similar things are celcius freezes at may the same temperature oficina 0 but Kelvin is un the absolute 0

And the diference bettwen farentgair freezes and boils different than celcius and kelvin

20. Use what you know about the movement of Thermal energy yo explain why you would place a minor buen on your arm under cool , running water.                                                                       Answer: During winter one of my friend told we'll have an ice cream. And rest of us where like are you nuts. He was like cold ice-cream actually heats up your body. Even I have heard it before but don't know the science behind it
21.Below is a concept map of the Energy changes of a gymnast boucing on a trampoline. Complete the map by indicating the type of Energy kinetic  , potential  ir both the gimnasta Has at each of the following stages a) half way up     b )the higest point.      C)halfway down           d) the lowest point Just before hitting the trampoline

C. the lowest point , just before hiting the trampolines
D. Higest point
B. Half way
A. Half way down
